Dear Parents and Carers,
In the event that the school, or part of the school, needs to move to remote education — whether due to severe weather, a pandemic, or other exceptional circumstances — we want to reassure you that we have clear plans in place to ensure your child's learning continues with as little disruption as possible.
We have provided links to various online platforms, including the Oak National Academy, Atom Learning, Spelling Shed and Times Tables Rock Stars, which offer structured, curriculum-linked activities across a range of subjects.
Alongside the work set by teachers, there are simple things you can do at home that make a real difference. Reading together every day — even for just a short time — builds vocabulary and a love of stories. Practising times tables and basic arithmetic regularly helps children to develop confidence and fluency with number that underpins so much of their learning. Little and often is the key.
We also know that periods away from school can be unsettling for children. Please do keep an eye on how your child is feeling and encourage them to talk about any worries they have. Their wellbeing matters to us just as much as their academic progress, and our staff are here to support the whole child — not just their learning.
Please remember, we are with you every step of the way. Contact us via Class Dojo and we will be here to help you.
Thank you,
Tim Moran Headteacher
